George Hines, aka Hynze, has been a longstanding friend and supporter of Soulvent since the start. Raised in the heart of the scene in London, he grew up around idols and legends such as Kenny Ken, Moose, Ratpack and Elissdee to name just a few. Learning directly from the belly of the beast, George’s production oozes rawness and grit, harking back to the darker sounds of the genre's origins. We’re absolutely thrilled to release his debut single ‘Concrete Vines’ on the label he has been so supportive of since its inception.
Hynze’s first ever release, ‘Concrete Vines’ opens with airy pads and ethereal vocals, before breaks are quickly backed by a symphony of chest-rattling distorted bass. Snappy drums and well worked bass lines play perfect homage to the riddims of yesteryear. The title of the tune captures the rugged nature of the environment in which it came to fruition.
Landing in all good stores on Friday the 7th of July, don’t sleep on Hynze’s debut output. We're expecting many more!
