Josh Croft and Bailey Greer, better known as In:Most are back to deliver volume 2 of their Dream Sequences EP series. Building upon the first volume, this EP brings more dreamy flavours and collaborators. Having been label mainstays for 8 of Soulvent’s 10 years of operation, we continue to take pleasure in releasing the evolving sound that In:Most have cultivated over the best part of a decade.
Opener ‘4EVER’ is clean, serious and unwavering; with crisp rolling beats, languid basslines and longing, ethereal vocals - taking listeners straight to the heart of the matter.
‘Atlas’ features the weird and wonderful sounds of Bop, and exudes groove immediately with a soundscape that is concurrently bubbly and ethereal, with seemingly endless progression. The percussion is well crafted and subtle, yet will still have you moving at least some part of your body throughout.
‘Escape’ with SOLAH sees the Brighton based songstress return to the label to deliver the sort of sublime vocal performance that we have come to expect. The intricate, synth laden soundscape and technically precise drums result in a concoction of vintage In:Most liquid.
Final track ‘Spectre’ looms large with bubbling pads and percussion building from the offset, ushering in FX-laden vocals and pulsating synth work. The drop sees in lusciously warped & wonky basswork, paired with progressive drums that keep the energy flowing throughout the track. The second drop is a face-melting descent into a heavy half-time groove which rounds out the EP in incredibly memorable fashion.
