Rising is a deeply introspective debut album from award-winning drum and bass DJ and producer Arietta. The project marks the first time Arietta integrates live instrumentation with electronic production, bringing together a lifetime of musicianship, jazz and electroacoustic training, and ethnomusicological study.Structured as an inner journey, the album moves from ritual and shadow work toward vulnerability, embodiment, and peace. Collaborations with live drummer Currency Audio (Exit Records), acclaimed keyboardist Jason Lindner (best known for his work with David Bowie on Blackstar), alongside vocalists and instrumentalists including Sophia Bavishi, Rainforest, Lavander, and GRAMMY Nominated bassist Panagiotis Andreou, ground the record in expressive performance, blending atmospheric sound design with driving basslines.Rising is intentional, emotionally grounded, and built for both deep listening and movement.
