From the city of Pivdennoukrainsk, Ukraine, CrucifyMe’s story begins with pure curiosity and an old copy of FL Studio 4. Somewhere between 2007 and 2009, what started as casual experimentation quickly turned into an obsession. Weekends became long sessions behind a screen, choosing music over schoolwork or training, discovering piece by piece how sound could be built from nothing. Around the same time, exposure to artists like Noisia, Spor, and Pendulum changed everything. Their aggressive yet highly musical style opened the door to Drum & Bass and sparked a lasting drive to understand how this music worked from the inside out.

Although the early spark was lit years before, CrucifyMe began taking production seriously in 2018, leading to his first official release in 2021 on Axon Records. Since then, his rise has been rapid and consistent, landing releases across respected labels including Critical Music, Blackout, Eatbrain, Soulvent, Grid, Hanzom, Delta 9, and SINFUL MAZE, alongside appearances on Evolution Chamber’s Transmissions Series Parts 3 and 4. Known among peers for maintaining one of the highest work rates in Drum & Bass, he now steps into the spotlight with his full debut on the label with the ambitious and wide-ranging “Coloured Starshow” EP.

True to its title, “Coloured Starshow” unfolds like a night sky filled with shifting lights and changing intensity, each track adding its own colour to the overall display. The EP opens with “Bigfoot”, a bouncy introduction built around a smooth yet aggressive groove that tightens its grip as it develops. It feels like the first spark in the sky; bright, energetic, and impossible to ignore. The title track “Coloured Starshow” anchors the release with dark, heavy rolling drums that move with purpose and weight, forming the central core of the EP’s atmosphere. From there, “Crook” twists the direction with a disjointed, steppy groove that feels deliberately off-centre, giving the collection one of its most distinctive rhythmic turns and adds a flash of colour that cuts sharply through the darkness. “Gaijin” shifts the focus back to the dancefloor, layering striking vocal phrases over sharp bass hits before flipping into a clever retro-inspired switch. Its imaginative structure adds another vivid moment to the display, balancing movement with character. “Nyx” follows with the drive of a locomotive, steppy basslines acting as call sections before transitioning into rolling drums that build pace with every pass, carrying the energy forward with unstoppable momentum. Closing the EP, “Restless” lifts the mood into a progressive finale, built around rising bass movements that give the feeling of travelling forward at high speed. It feels like the final burst of light and a futuristic ride that leaves a lasting impression as the last flare fades.

With the “Coloured Starshow EP”, CrucifyMe delivers a debut that reflects years of discipline, early-hour sessions, and an unwavering drive to improve. Each track plays its role in a wider display of rhythm and atmosphere, revealing a producer operating with confidence, precision, and a clear vision. This is more than just a first full release on Evolution Chamber, it’s the arrival of an artist whose pace and output continue to set him apart, and whose trajectory shows no signs of slowing down.
