We’re always keen to have new artists strut their stuff on the label, so when Dossa from Dossa & Locuzzed fame hit us up with a brand new demo 6 months ago, we were more than happy to give him a home. Having released as a duo for many years on Viper, Dossa now has taken on the mantle of CFD (Chief Funk Deliverer) on his solo endeavors.
His debut release on Soulvent is entitled ‘Love Letters’ and it instantly stirs up those nostalgic feelings from first listen - the vocals evoking the heady-liquid flavours of yesteryear. The relaxed drum work belies the robust basslines that oscillate throughout the track giving you a beautiful blend of a sparkly, summery anthem crossed with a bass-heavy rave weapon.
