The ‘Sour Enemies’ EP from stateside producer Serjah9 combined the power of upfront drum & bass and electric E numbers for a full on onslaught to the senses; the only downside is you can’t eat it.‘High N Low’ ties in vocals from the 60’s with brash wobbly basslines, 2 step breaks and a no nonsense approach to production. ‘Certified Roller’ steps up the pace in a militant fashion with its streamrolling tempo and aggressive arpeggiated melodies. Two for two as they say.Title track ‘Sour Enemies’ isn’t a direct send to anyone in particular (sadly) but more of a dancehall inspired throwdown. Bonkers switches, mashed up breaks and plenty of dub FX make this a tune to draw for again and again in the war for who's got the biggest selection on their USB stick. Serjah9 steps into the darkside with ‘Rep Ya Set’ whilst showing off his versatility as a producer. An instant head nodder from the off, it's a sure fire way to win over even the toughest of moody ravers in an instant. Not one for the lazers but one for the head nodders.Crack open your favourite pack of gummy sweats but don’t get sugar over your CDJs, it’s as bad as a dash of sand in the crossfader.
