SODP’ is a high-octane Drum & Bass anthem that brings together some of the UK scene’s most distinctive talents. Combining heavyweight production, infectious vocal hooks and relentless basslines, the track is a full-throttle dancefloor weapon built for maximum impact.
Basslayerz are a formidable force in the UK Drum & Bass scene, comprising DJ and producer Slipz alongside vocalists MC Spyda and Blu Bomma. Renowned for their live performances and unmistakable energy, the trio bring together decades of experience and a fresh approach to the genre. MC Spyda is one of jungle and Drum & Bass's most recognisable voices while Blu Bomma brings his own distinctive flow and infectious energy to the collective.
Adding another dimension to the track is West London MC Scrufizzer, whose rapid-fire delivery and genre-blending style have made him a standout figure in UK grime and bass music. Usually known for his distinctive flow, Scrufizzer sings lyrics in SODP demonstrating his diversity as an artist.
Interestingly, ‘SODP’ was originally conceived as a collaboration between Sigma and Basslayerz, with the track virtually complete before a last-minute addition took it in a new direction. Sigma sent the track over to Scrufizzer, who quickly came back with a vocal part that immediately caught everyone's attention. The chemistry was undeniable, and the decision was made to incorporate his contribution into the finished record, adding another layer of energy and character to an already powerful production.
The result is an explosive fusion of Drum & Bass, jungle and grime influences that has proved to be a firm favourite with festival crowds this Summer. Whoop Whoop!
