Releases September 25, 2026 Dispatch Blueprints welcomes Section for the next heavyweight release in the series, joined by longtime collaborator Surface on a release that channels the raw spirit of late '90s drum & bass through a thoroughly modern lens.

Leading the release is Existence, a fierce amen workout born from Section's desire to create the kind of uncompromising DJ tool that first inspired him to produce. Built around punishing break manipulation, razor-sharp stabs and an unforgettable hook, the track balances nostalgic influences with contemporary precision. After receiving early guidance from Ant TC1, the tune quickly became a secret weapon in his sets, earning attention from dancefloors before finding its way into the hands of Goldie, Dillinja and other key selectors.

On the flip, Don't Escape sees Section reunite with Surface, continuing a creative partnership that has already produced several acclaimed releases despite the pair never having met in person. Reworked and refined over time, the track evolved into an eerie, tension-filled roller, with further input from Ant helping bring the collaboration to its final form.

Speaking on the release, Dispatch founder Ant TC1 said:

"I find it hard for amen tunes to interest me as much as they did way back when as I (for the most part) feel I've heard it all done in a simple rolling fashion since the early 90s but some artists are just so good at taking the break for a fresh new spin all together. It's a contrasting back to the roots release we have here with Section's lead side of the release being such a hard hitter for me, it's the lashy push and EQ of the amen in combination with the stabs which are just brutal from the drop on. The flip with Surface is an eerie choppage masterpiece. Both tracks with that rugged old school feel, that analogue pushed vibe and both put together for those that love to seek out spaces within a dark low ceiling venue well into the late hours."

Already generating significant underground buzz, the release has picked up early DJ support from Goldie, Dillinja, Gremlinz, Homemade Weapons and Ant TC1 himself, with much of that momentum coming from DJs hearing the tracks in clubs and immediately asking what they were. Landing on 25 September 2026, Dispatch Blueprints 029 pairs Section’s “Existence” with the Section & Surface collaboration “Don’t Escape”, bringing together raw amen breaks, stripped-back production, dark atmospheres and that unmistakable late-90s influence without simply trying to recreate the past.

“Existence” was born from Section’s desire to make the kind of uncompromising DJ tool that originally inspired him to start producing, with brutally chopped breaks, sharp stabs and a relentless sense of movement giving it the feel of a tune designed for dark rooms rather than algorithms. The flip, “Don’t Escape”, takes things deeper and more ominous, reuniting Section with longtime collaborator Surface for an eerie, tension-heavy roller that has been carefully reworked and refined over time. What makes the release particularly interesting is the way it demonstrates how the current underground is revisiting the DNA of early drum & bass while applying modern production weight and precision; this isn’t nostalgia for nostalgia’s sake, but a reminder that some of the most effective ideas in D&B have always been the simplest, a huge break, atmosphere, pressure and enough space in the mix for a tune to breathe. The clever part is that this sound doesn’t feel dated; if anything, after years of increasingly polished and maximal production, its rough edges and restraint can feel strangely fresh again.
