Zero T returns to V Recordings with the Gutter EP, continuing a relationship that runs back to the early-2000s.
"This EP was built around the solo track 'Get Back', an homage to the Cybotron-era Dillinja sound."
Operating across Metalheadz, CIA and The North Quarter as well as V, his catalogue has been built on longevity. A steady presence through multiple phases of drum & bass, with consistent support from the likes of Goldie, Alix Perez, S.P.Y, London Elektricity, Fabio & Grooverider and beyond.
The release brings in a cross-section of V's extended network. L-Side reconnects on the title track, building on a partnership that previously delivered 'Live & Direk'. As Zero T puts it, 'Gutter' is "a stripped back Bristol stepper made for maximum impact", already a staple in his sets.
Surreal joins on 'All I Need', bringing a more musical angle. "I really like his music, especially when he works with Motiv. They have a great knack of making funky, dancefloor liquid that reminds me of the mid-2000s heyday of that sound." The result leans into that lineage while still holding weight on the floor.
Crystal Clear rounds things out on 'Now It's Time', linking over shared influences rooted in the 90s V and Full Cycle era. "I've been really impressed by him... we're of a similar age and grew up on the same DnB influences, so I was eager to get on something together." The track nods directly to that history.
Four tracks designed to get people moving, a direct contribution to the V catalogue from an artist who's been part of its fabric for over twenty years
