Think Tonk lands on V Recordings with a four-track EP that celebrates Drum & Bass and Jungle music. Drawing from Jungle, DnB, dancehall, reggae, hip hop and rave traditions, while keeping a playful, energetic edge. The result is a hybrid sound that feels bashy, bassy, wavey and ravey, without losing sight of the dancefloor.
A Mancunian project rooted in years of love for UK and West Indian dancefloor culture, Think Tonk sits at the intersection of sound system music and rave heritage. Bringing together artists with long histories across the UK's bass music landscape, the project combines experience, personality and a shared devotion to rave culture.
From the rave euphoria of Piano Problems, through the dubwise vocal swagger of Toppa Top and the bassline rinse-out of Goodyear Riddim, to the rolling, jungle-tinged remix from L-Side, this EP moves confidently through Think Tonk's world.
